Zeb Smith is an Emmy Award winning cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY and Los Angeles, CA although his work often takes him around the globe. 

Zeb’s latest documentary film Silent Forests has just been released on all digital platforms after an incredible film festival run (Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Big Sky, and DCEFF, Brooklyn Film Festival, Rwanda Film Festival, and more). Silent Forests is an intimate, character-driven portrait gains remarkable access to an under-reported region, the Congo Basin, to understand the global poaching and ivory trade crises we face.

His work has garnered him two Telly Awards, an Emmy Award, and two Emmy Nominations. He has gone through the Sundance Institute Documentary Labs with the heavily awarded documentary Whatever it Takes as a Producer and Editor that garnered distribution on PBS Independent Lens.

He has also worked as a producer, editor, and production supervisor on a wide array of documentary and commercial projects.
